Minutes of Meeting of Dunnet & Canisbay Community Council

Actions:
Defibrillator” Lucky to be Alive” to be given a sum of £500.00 to help purchase one and will be situated at the Post Office John O Groats.
Training in the use of the Defibrillator will be in John o Groats hall at a date TBA
Public Liability Insurance to be updated and paid, the sum of £24.00 will be paid by Highland Council.
The next meeting of the Association of Community Councils will be on the 4 June in the Ross Institute Halkirk, Barry Butler will attend for Dunnet & Canisbay CC.
Village Officer Scheme has £650.00 to spend.
It was suggested to get quotes to repair Canisbay Surgery Car Park and to repair the unmade road to Duncansby Ness.
The Community Plan to be looked and updated as a lot of information in the plan is outdated or has been implemented.
Community Representative for Dunnet & Canisbay for the John O Groats Development Trust will be Henry Gunn
Health Service Redesign, no updates
AOCB:
Councillor Willie Mackay was given a vote of thanks for attending all of our meetings for the past 12 months and keeping us updated on Highland Council projects and we now have Councillor Andrew Sinclair from Wick as our Representative.

Speed Control look at cost of flashing speed sign to alert drivers of their speed which can used for all communities.
County Councillor Mackay to invite Roy Kirk to hold a public meeting Dunnet and Canisbay Community Council Area.
