DUNNET & CANISBAY COMMUNITY SUPPORT
DUNNET & CANISBAY COMMUNITY COUNCIL and JOHN O'GROATS DEVELOPMENT TRUST is working with local businesses, the Highland Council and other agencies in order to provide help and support to our most vulnerable people but also general support to the whole community as far as possible.
We recognise that these can be worrying times and it is very important that we can support each other and our wider community. To this end we are putting into place the following: -
A single point of contact for anyone who needs help in any way, be it supplies, medicine or other issues.
A supply network for food and essentials which can be delivered and left on doorstep (if necessary), those items would need to be paid for via card payments to the businesses involved prior to delivery.
A network of volunteers who can deliver supplies to people who are unable to collect them.
In order to make this work we need volunteers. We have a core number of people but we need more so that we can lighten the load. Please get in touch if you can offer help.
If can offer help or if you need help then the single point of contact is: -
Phone: 0300 303 1362
Private Message us on John O'Groats Development Trust Facebook page.
We will shortly publicise the things we have managed to put into place and how it will work. To do this we will use social media, e-mail (where we have them) local webpages and word of mouth. Even if you cannot help in any other way, then please tell people about what we are planning and how they can get help if they need it.
